Plumpton College in World War II -- memories of a boy.
This booklet is a compilation of the memories of Chris Chappell who lived on the College Farm between 1939 and 1945. He was nine years old in 1939.
It lists and describes activities at the College and the surrounds during this period of the College history. It includes photographs from the College archives for that time including several Land Army Girl photos. The college trained over 2000 land army girls during this period.
Copies of the booklet can be obtained by sending a cheque for £3 to Valerie Raynor, Plumpton College, Lewes, East Sussex.
All proceeds are donated to the College Charitable Foundation which supports current students.
