Exciting Opportunities for International Students at Plumpton College, University of Brighton, UK
At Plumpton College, University of Brighton, international students can achieve a work-focused degree and study in area of outstanding natural beauty in the South East of England, yet with London only 50 minutes away by train. The College offers a wide variety of highly-respected, practical, land-based courses in partnership with the University of Brighton.
Of particular interest to international students from your country are:
a. BSc Viticulture and Oenology [Wine Production]: This is the only UG degree in wine production delivered in English in Europe. Plumpton College is at the centre of training, education and research in wine in the UK and has invested heavily in its teaching and wine producing facilities. This new resource contains a 50-tonne capacity winery, two research laboratories and a wine tasting room. The course has excellent links with the wine industry and offers excellent global employment prospects on graduation.
b. BSc Equine Sports Performance: This UG course will develop students’ skills in equitation, coaching alongside academic studies, preparing the student for entry into the equine industry or allied professions. The large equine unit at Plumpton College offers two well-equipped yards, two indoor schools, horse-walker, jumpcross course and cross-country course.
c. A range of land-based Foundation degree courses of two years’ duration – download prospectus (pdf 95k) – which can then be followed by a third year UG top-up degree.
Accommodation on campus is guaranteed for all international students and students can also apply for one of the 75 University of Brighton international scholarships of £2,000 per year.
