Hints and Tips
You can start working with a business before the apprenticeship course itself starts. We recommend that alongside the Talent Bank, it can be worthwhile to contact employers and businesses near you.
We recommend ensuring you have an up to date and professional CV, and then send this to employers alongside a cover letter. We recommend that you do not use websites such as Indeed to create a CV as this creates a very generic and messy CV which employers do not respond well to.
In addition to this, many employers appreciate an in person discussion or phone call, so if you are able to, we recommend calling a business to discuss whether they are open to apprentices.
A web search can highlight a variety of businesses in your area, you can also utilise jobs boards such as Indeed to find companies looking to hire and you can contact them regarding apprenticeships. Through your search, you may be able to find both an email address and number to contact employers. Contacting employers highlights a proactive nature and business can respond well to this.
