Modules

  • Day 1: Canopy Management and Disease Management
  • Day 2: Yield Estimation and managing crop load for optimal ripeness, fruit sampling and preparing for harvest
  • Day 3: Practical Session – Evaluating canopy area and making decisions on management, yield estimation and fruit sampling techniques

Assessment

At the end of the course, participants will take part in a short test to assess their knowledge of the course content. Upon successful completion, attendees will receive a Certificate of Achievement in Spring Vineyard Management, showcasing their mastery of critical spring vineyard tasks.

Please note Plumpton College Wine Division have recently secured some funding, allowing for a reduction in price to a selection of wine courses, subject to eligibility*.

*Learners will be eligible for funding if they were aged over 19 on 31st August 2024 and have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years. Learners living in devolved areas (eg Greater London Combined Authority) will not be eligible for funding. Learners currently undertaking an apprenticeship will not be eligible for funding.
