Description
Harvest + vegetable & fruit growing. Winter hours 2 to 3 days per week and from May to December this includes 2 to 3 dawn or pre-dawn harvests a week, finishing work between 8 a.m. and 12 noon on those days. Option for longer hours and more days from March onwards. Flexible hours could fit with your other commitments.
No experience is required provided you can learn quickly but you must be genuinely interested in farming and horticulture, nature or nutrition. We grow a range of English and Asian crops, from beetroots to water spinach, apples to yuzu, supplying top local and London restaurants and a vegetable box. Scope for an ambitious person to later take on some farm management and/or set up their own enterprise.
Early-harvest bonus and additional incentives for the right person. Good long-term prospects but this might also suit someone seeking a short-term role (minimum one month term) or just paid work experience.
Interviews & trials October & November 2024. Start-date flexible but can be immediate.
