Apprentice wins Agricultural Apprentice of the year at the 2024 Landex LBEL Awards

00:00 - 00:00The second annual Land-based & Environment Learner (LBEL) Awards were held on 21 November at the National Conference Centre in Birmingham, celebrating the accomplishments of students in the agricultural and environmental sectors.
We are delighted Riley Oliver, has been named Agricultural Apprentice of the Year. Riley is studying the Crop Technician Apprenticeship at Plumpton College.
The evening, hosted by celebrity garden designer Danny Clarke (also known as The Black Gardener), featured 13 award categories, including Agriculture, Land-based Engineering, and Animal Studies, recognizing the remarkable talents of young learners.
Commenting on the Awards Ceremony, Prof John Moverley OBE, Chair of Judges for the LBEL Awards, said: “It’s been another fantastic year where we have been able to celebrate the success of learners and apprentices within our sector. We had 196 nominations this year, which was brilliant! There are so many inspiring stories from nominations and it’s an honour to be able to celebrate their achievements and passion this evening. Congratulations to all winners and finalists!”
