Join us for yet another exciting Baker's Roundtable Event - our third event ever - taking place within our impressive AgriFood Centre here at Plumpton College. Connect with other industry professionals and hear the latest business and industry insights from those working in the sector at this FREE TO ATTEND event.
This Baker's Roundtable Event will focus on Sustainability, and Equality, Diversity & Inclusion as main themes, and involve guest speakers who have direct experience in boosting these areas in their bakery business.
Expect a lively and informal atmosphere where you can freely share your experiences and learn from others, with the following agenda planned:
- Welcome from Anthony Gaston, Bakery Programme Manager, Plumpton College
- Guest speaker Derek Hooper, EDI Trainer, and talk from Brandon Wolfe, Plumpton College EDI Lead
- Guest speaker Alastair Gourlay, Real Patisserie, Business Recycling
- Talk from Alex Waterfield, Grounds & Gardens Manager, Plumpton College, on sustainability and how recycling can impact a business
- The chance to learn about our new Level 3 Bakery apprenticeship
There'll also be refreshments available including some delicious treats baked by our apprentice bakers.
Supported by Craft Bakers Association (CBA) and the Alliance for Bakery Students and Trainees (ABST).
