A team of students from the College won the annual Jim Green Memorial competition held recently at the South of England Showground. The competition aims to encourage teamwork and build confidence and is held in memory of Jim Green who was former Chairman and Founding Council Member of the South of England Agricultural Society and also past Chair of Plumpton College governors. He had a lifelong interest in the education and training of young people particularly those with special educational needs.
The event included both prepared and on the day tasks such as growing spring bulbs, identifying woodland and hedgerow trees and plants, cooking and making a sculpture. The event was fiercely contested and the College is very proud of its winning team.
