Cragside
00:00 - 00:00
From Monday 16th March 10 students from the College’s Forestry and Arboriculture department spent a week at the Cragside Estate in Northumberland.
Cragside is run and owned by the National Trust and covers over 1000 acres, with many of the UKs largest trees growing on the estate.
Students spent a week working on some on the estates magnificent trees. The event was supported by various equipment suppliers and Phil from Gustharts and Jen from Lyon Equipment joined us for one of the days. They brought some new equipment for the students to try out and we are very grateful for their help.
This was the College's fourth visit to Cragside and we are proud of our links with the National Trust and are grateful for their ongoing support.
Students who went were: Jack Mitchel, Connor Mellish, Hal Foster, Will Packham, Aarn Gevaux, Noah Tremaine, Matt Cheal, Ben Pepler, Joe Howard and Isaac.
Students were accompanied by two members of staff James Smith and Vicki Richardson.
