Curriculum Manager for Sport and Adventure Education, Andy Hamilton last week completed the final stage to be appointed a Royal Yachting Association Coach Assessor.
This places Andy with around 80 of the best dinghy coaches in the country. After many years of instructing, coaching and managing sailing activities, this places him within the team who train and qualify the dinghy instructors and senior dinghy instructors in the UK.
Andy commented "this is the pinnacle of my professional coaching journey so far and places the Plumpton Sailing and Watersports academy on the map having its own residential coach assessor".
Plumpton College has a wide range of outdoor adventure education and sports courses with outstanding facilities set on its 800-hectare estate such as its sports hall with indoor climbing wall. Plumpton also boasts its residential centre at the foot of Snowdonia and the Sailing and Watersports Academy at Newhaven.
