Institute of Meat and Worshipful Company of Butchers Awards 2023
00:00 - 00:00
We had a fantastic time at the Institute of Meat Awards celebrating with three of our winning apprentices! Congratulations to;
Vincenza Cesano won 'Best apprentice showing management potential in a manufacturing environment'
Jessica Kellerway won 'Best meat processing apprentice'.
Daniel Figg, who won 'Best Independent Retailer Meat Apprentice'.
Congratulations also to Letitia Redfern, a Booker apprentice, who is the youngest person ever to receive a Master Butchers award - she has accredited her success to the Level 3 Butchery course at Plumpton College. She now works as a regional Butchery Manager.
The annual prizegiving is a firm fixture in the meat industry calendar and seeks to recognise and celebrate the achievement of apprentices, their training providers and employers.
Nominations are carefully considered by the IoM and industry experts. On the day, achievement awards are given in twelve categories to apprentices and organisations from across the country. The prizegiving is also the event where the award winning apprentices witness a select few highly accomplished butchers receiving Institute of Meat accredited Master Butcher status.
