Interns get festive for Chestnut Tree House
12 December 2016 17:08 - 17:08
Plumpton College Supported Interns got into the Christmas spirit last week as part of the 'Get Festive' campaign, raising over £280 for a great cause.
The Supported Internship students took part in this years campaign by organising a run around the college, sponsored by students and staff. 'Get Festive' is organised by Chestnut Tree House to raise money for the Sussex children's hospice.
Terrina Barnes from Chestnut Tree House’s Fundraising Team said,
The Get Festive campaign is all about getting into the spirit of Christmas by throwing on your favourite festive knits, twirling yourself in tinsel, dressing up as Santa or simply wearing Santa hats or reindeer antlers.
You could organise a raffle, have a bake sale, sing carols to your colleagues or hold a fabulously festive party; how you celebrate is entirely up to you!
We are very grateful to all the workplaces, community groups, organisations and groups of friends from across Sussex who are already behind our Get Festive campaign to raise money for us.
Michaela Twaits from the college said,
We want to show that we care about other people, especially at Christmas, and hope that the money raised will provide that something extra at Christmas time for the children at Chestnut Tree House.
