Plumpton College’s residential provision has been graded as ‘Outstanding’ following a recent Ofsted inspection. The inspection, in February, found that the College’s provision was “exceptional and outstanding” in all areas. The residential experience provided for the College’s 200 residential students was found to have numerous strengths which had a highly positive impact enabling students to make “excellent progress across all aspects of their residential lives”.
Inspectors commented that ‘students are extremely well prepared for life after College and as a result access to employment or progression to further courses is exceptionally high’ and ‘a culture of safety embeds all aspects of College life’
Safeguarding young people, the promotion of Equality and Diversity and pastoral care was judged to be of a very high level.
Des Lambert, Principal, said the College has always been proud of its residential provision and we are pleased that Ofsted have found the College’s provision to be Outstanding.
