Plumpton College Remembrance Service 2023
00:00 - 00:00
Ahead of Remembrance Day this Sunday 12th November, Plumpton College staff and students took part in a remarkable Remembrance service.
Ahead of Remembrance Day this Sunday, our staff, students, and wider college community didn't let the British weather rain on our parade this morning as we commemorated together at our college Remembrance Service.
Taking place on campus firstly in our Sports Hall and leading onto a procession to St. Michael's Parish Church, we had the pleasure of welcoming Giles York, the Deputy-Lieutenant, East Sussex; Dave Slark, the Sussex County Vice Chairman of the Royal British Legion alongside Anne Dunlop, Reverend at St. Michael's and All Angels Parish Church, to run today's beautiful service.
We are incredibly proud of all our students who paid their respects during today's Remembrance service, with a particular mention to our Level 3 Floristry students who created stunning floral wreaths to lay in St. Michael's Church.
It was a significant day dedicated to remembrance, allowing our community to come together in reflection to honour all those that have lost their lives in service. Whilst wearing red poppies, we recognise the profound significance of gathering together to honour the past. Lest we forget.
