Shire Horse Team Success
00:00 - 00:00
In the photos the horse on the left is Deighton Magnum handled by Tanisha Lee who is one of our FE Diploma Students and on the right is Deighton Dick handled by Sheneka Reid who is on the first year of a Foundation Degree. Deighton Dick was placed first at the Cranleigh show in the working harness class and received the Ryestead Perpetual Challenge Cup. The horses are regularly visitors to local shows and we are very pleased with the results this year.
The College has three shire horses which bring a different aspect of the horse industry to students, many whom have never had experience of such large horses. They are used daily either driving, harrowing the schools or working in lessons, long reining with the students and this helps develop a range of skills unique for our students at Plumpton College.
