Statement: Wales Farm
19 January 2017 12:37 - 12:37
Yesterday afternoon SONDE water quality equipment registered a concern which we have worked with the Environment Agency to resolve. This concern related to dirty water run-off, and although a minor incident, it was dealt with swiftly and no further action is required.
The current water quality measuring methods meant this was captured quickly with no adverse effects to neighbouring streams.
Following the incident on 29th November 2016, we have put considerable resource into water quality monitoring and associated farm operations. As an additional precautionary and contingency action, we undertook some minor and temporary stream diversion work which affected 1 local property and we are currently working to remedy this.
We will shortly be releasing our long-term action plan for the public in relation to the incident on 29th November 2016.
