Plumpton College, in partnership with RP Meats sponsored the category which, when judging, were looking for a top quality butchers shop, offering a good range of locally reared meat that gives little bit extra in terms of quality and service. A C Coughtrey Butchers is based in Pulborough and started out over 25 years ago.
The other two grand finalists were Nick the Butcher, based in Hartfield and Glyn Thomas and Sons Butchers situated in Lindfield.
Principal Jeremy Kerswell presented the award on the night along with RP meats.
