Welcoming guests for our annual NFU Farm Walk

We were delighted to welcome members of the National Farmers Union to our annual Farm Walk.
 
The evening started with an overview from Jeremy Kerswell. Principal and our new Farm Manager Rodney Phair. They outlined the recent investments made in Lambert Farm and the £11m investment in our new AgriFood Centre, designed in part for events where the industry can come together to meet and share ideas. 

Our agricultural students then did a fantastic job of hosting the farm walk, sharing their knowledge and experience starting with the biosecurity centre and the importance of it when coming on to the farm. Then it was on to to see the new pig unit and the dairy, showcasing the great welfare standards both facilities provide for our animals. 

A well earned supper and a briefing from David Exwood, Vice President of the NFU rounded off a great evening.
