Do you have a passion for dog grooming and education? Plumpton College is looking for an experienced and driven Programme Manager for Dog Grooming to manage our grooming parlour, inspire students, and lead our dog grooming programme to excellence.

With over 3,000 students, excellent resources and a drive for continuous quality improvement, Plumpton College is actively seeking staff with the right values and attributes who want to make a difference and be part of this exciting phase of our development. We are looking to recruit professional and ambitious individuals to form an integral part of our growing Dog Grooming team. 

The ideal candidate will be a professional, resilient, hardworking, and a confident team player. You will be able to demonstrate great organisation, liaise with the wider college team, and understand and follow processes, in addition to relevant industrial experience in Dog Grooming. You will need to hold a Level 3 City and Guilds relevant qualification, and ideally have experience of dog grooming parlour administration.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop, deliver, and enhance the dog grooming programme, ensuring students excel both vocationally and academically.
  • Manage the daily operations of our Dog Grooming Parlour, including budget oversight, health & safety, and growing the client base.
  • Lead teaching, learning, and assessment strategies, and ensure a high-quality learning environment.
  • Support and mentor students, helping them gain essential skills for their careers.
  • Coordinate resources, staff, and schedules to deliver a seamless educational experience.

What we’re looking for:

  • A degree or professional qualification in a relevant field and a teaching qualification.
  • Experience in teaching and assessing, with a passion for driving student success.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
  • Strong organisational abilities to manage both the dog grooming programme and the parlour.
