Job Purpose

Are you passionate about supporting young people in their educational journey? We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Education Pathways Student Engagement Coordinator to be the first point of contact for our Electively Home Educated (EHE) and School Link students. This is a non-teaching role focused on addressing support, behaviour, and wellbeing concerns for students aged 14-16.

This position would suit a pastoral head of year or transition manager with experience supporting this age group, or an experienced educator looking for a new challenge. Work alongside an enterprising and ambitious team in a growth area at Plumpton College, with the opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of our students.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and Guidance: Be the primary contact for EHE and School Link students, addressing their SEMH needs and providing tailored support.

  • Intervention Delivery: Implement, monitor, track, and evaluate impactful interventions that promote student wellbeing and personal development.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with teaching and learning staff, and collaborate with the Education Pathways and Safeguarding teams to maintain high educational standards.

  • Engagement Strategies: Utilise a trauma-informed and relational approach to encourage students to engage with their studies and progress into post-16 courses.

  • Administrative Support: Assist the wider Education Pathways team with administrative tasks, enrichment activities, communication with external stakeholders, and the student interview process.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience working with young people, particularly in educational settings.

  • Strong understanding of SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs.

  • A secure knowledge of safeguarding practices and the associated processes.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.

  • A commitment to maintaining high educational standards and expectations.

Why Join Us?
