We believe that every student should have the opportunity to further their education, no matter their personal circumstances. Some students face external barriers that make studying, attending and succeeding at college a struggle. The Plumpton College Charitable Foundation is here to provide support to students throughout their time at Plumpton College.
Our mission is simple - help students stay in education and gain essential qualifications in the land-based sector.
Making an impact
We have already begun making a transformative impact on students' ability to continue their studies. Financial support has been provided to cover transportation, material fees, accommodation, internet access, lunch vouchers, and more. Read more about the students we have supported throughout 2024/25:
Student A moved home due to challenging dynamics meaning that travel to college and their work experience placement became a big barrier to completing their course. With the support of the Charitable Foundation, the cost of travel was covered, and they went on to complete their course and work within the sector.
Student B received financial, and wellbeing support due to safeguarding concerns. Assistance from the Charitable Foundation covered the cost of short-term accommodation and food at college, enabling them to continue learning and living in a safe environment.
Student C couldn’t purchase materials needed their subject area due to financial difficulties at home. With bursary support from the Charitable Foundation, Student C received everything needed to pursue their passion for the sector.

The Plumpton College Charitable Foundation is voluntarily run by an independent group of trustees with experience and connections to the land-based industry who are dedicated and committed to helping students thrive in education.
