Plumpton Estate Sparkling Wines
Plumpton Estate Brut Classic NV is made by the traditional method using a classic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier. Grapes are hand-picked and fermented before our winemaker carefully crafts our signature blend with the help of our wine students. The wine spends at least two years ageing on lees in the bottle before riddling and disgorging.
This wine displays crisp apple and citrus fruit notes perfectly balanced with creamy brioche roundness and a long refreshing finish. This Gold medal winner is quality English Wine at its finest.
Plumpton Estate Brut Rosé is made by the traditional method using a classic blend of Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir. grapes are hand-picked and fermented before our winemaker carefully crafts our signature blend with the help of wine students. The wine spends at least two years ageing on lees in the bottle. A splash of red Pinot Noir wine is added to give it a vibrant pink colour.
Dry, with crisp acidity and a delicate, persistent mouse, this wine is a superb marriage between freshness and finesse. It displays white peach and strawberry notes with a creamy brioche roundness and a long, elegant finish.
Plumpton Estate Brut Reserve is a powerful blend of Riesling, Seyval Blanc, Pinot Blanc and Regner. Clear, defined aromas of yellow plum and pears give centre stage to a powerful nose of brioche and tarte aux amandes. A rich mouthfeel that evolves from toast into citrus.
Delicate notes of caramel, bergamot and nutmeg emerge from a body of green apple and malt. On the palate, balanced acidity and brandy tones give way to a warm, filling finish. It pairs well with roasted nuts and antipasti, as well as desserts like apple tarte tatin and poached pears.
Plumpton Estate Varietal Range
Plumpton Estate Bacchus is a crisp, juicy wine akin to Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and apple character. Hints of grass add complexity and make this wine perfect for any occasion.
The grapes are picked from Plumpton's Rock Lodge Vineyard in Scaynes Hill, pressed gently then fermented at a low temperature in stainless steel vats. Specific yeasts are used to allow aromatic qualities to express themselves finely and clearly. After a brief ageing period in tank the wine is bottled and left to integrate itself before sale.
Plumpton Estate Rock Lodge Range
Plumpton Estate Rock Lodge Rosé wine is full of rich strawberry, raspberry, plum, and red cherry aromas. It is youthful, fresh, and perfectly poised, with ripe summer fruits dancing on the palate. Light and fruity enough to enjoy on its own, this wine is perfect for sharing with friends.
Plumpton Estate Rock Lodge White is a range of vibrant and unique varietals, including Ortega and Bacchus, which has resulted in a well-rounded wine with notes of elderflower and grapefruit. It invites flavours of lime cordial and green apple.
Plumpton Estate Rock Lodge Red is a perfect summer drinking red. This Pinot Noir-dominated wine allows you to enjoy the summer heat of red wine at the same time. An easy drinking light style, bursting with mixed berry flavours.
